Student admission process commences at Valparai Government College of Arts and Sciences

Amidst tight Covid--19 safety protocol, student admission process commenced at Valparai Government College of Arts and Sciences.


Coimbatore: Admission of students for graduate studies in Valparai Government College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore District for the academic year 2021-2022 is scheduled to take place from August 26 to 31. Admission of students was initiated by the Principal of the College, Dr. Sreedharan. As per the special allocation scheme on August 24, applications were received from students belonging to families of retired soldiers and hence the admission process was held.



Admission to General Category began from Thursday with BA Tamil (50), BA English (60), BBA (60), B.Sc Computer (60), B.Sc IT (60), B. Com (60), B.Com and CA 60 seats filled with a total of 520 seats being filled. Students who had come for admission to the campus with their parents wore face masks and adhered to the Covid-19 preventive guidelines of the Tamil Nadu government. Students and parents had to sanitise their hands and were allowed inside the campus only after their body temperature was tested.

Assistant Professors, Principal Dr. Sreedharan, Professors Periyasamy and Mahalakshmi were present at the campus for the admission process.
