Farmers staged a walk-out at the Farmers' Grievance meeting in Tirupur causing a stir


Coimbatore: There was a stir as farmers walked out of a Farmers' Grievance Meeting in Tirupur. The Farmers' Grievance Meeting was held on Wednesday through video conferencing, at the Tirupur District Collectorate.



The meeting was to be held at around 10.30 am under the chairmanship of District Collector Vineeth but since the District Collector had not turned up for the meeting until 12 noon, farmers who were waiting for the meeting to commence at the Udumalai Agriculture Office staged a walk out. They complained that the grievances of the farmers were not being taken care of properly and that meetings were always being held late.
