Preparation works hasten in Coimbatore as schools and colleges to be reopened on September 1st, 2021

Commissioner and special officer of Corporation, Raja Gopal Sunkara IAS, headed a meeting today and discussed the protocols to be followed.


Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu government announced the dates for reopening schools for students between classes 9 and 12. In view of that, a meeting was held today under Commissioner and Special Officer Mr.Raj Gopal Sunkara IAS.

17 higher secondary schools and 11 High schools fall under the administration of Coimbatore corporation. As they are to be open soon, the district corporation held a meeting to discuss the guidelines and protocols.

“Schools should regularly test body temperature of students who visit school and should oversee that the students follow guidelines like wash hands, maintain enough distance, wear masks. Both the teaching and non-teaching staff should produce records for both doses of vaccination.

The campus should be free from any kind of unhygienic practices and keep proper records of the cleaning process”, stated the Commissioner.

Themeeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation K. Vimalaraj, Municipal Engineer A. Lakshmanan, Assistant Urban Welfare Officer Maru Vasanth Diwakar, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Senthilkumar Ratnam, Assistant Commissioner (Staff Saravanan, Assistant Commissioner (Accounts) Mohanasundari, Corporation Education Officer Michaelraj, Council Secretary A. Amalraj and corporation officials.
