They were promised with Apartments through loans back in 2018
Coimbatore: Around 120 families were removed from encroachmentsin 2018 stating that they will be constructed with new housing apartments.
The construction work being completed in 18 months, the residents were asked to pay an amount of 1,72,600 and ₹.12,600 were obtained in advance, the rest payable through loans.
However, the residents have now raised a plea to the collector to hand over the houses for free as they belong to the daily wage working group.
The pleas were put in the grievance box at the collector’s office.
