Disinfection processes 'on' all over Coimbatore and TN
Coimbatore: Cinema Theatres remained close for the past three months on account of the Covid second wave.
The Tamil Nadu government issued orders and guidelines for the reopening of theatres yesterday. Following the announcements, theatre owners have taken up the processes of cleaning and disinfecting the theatres.
The government has also issued guidelines to be followed while allowing the audience in the theatre.
Public should wear masks, sanitize themselves, and maintain social distance once the theatres are open. The theatre owners have been advised to make seating arrangements with proper social distancing.
Balasubramaniam, one of the theatre owners stated that “We have been eagerly waiting for the Government orders since we faced loss in crores since the closure.
We have deployed 13 workers in the disinfection process and are all set to work starting tomorrow.”
He also said that the ticket fair shall not be increased, but the government should consider exempting them from taxes like entertainment tax as they are still in loss due to Pandemic.
