Tirupur: The Tirupur City Police Commissioner, V Vanitha launched an app called 'E-beat- Electronic Patrol App at the Tirupur City Police Commissioner's office on Wednesday to accurately monitor police patrols, and to prevent crime and take precautionary measures. She reiterated the usefulness of the electronic patrol app for the police force after flagging off the patrols.

The Tirupur North and South police divisions are divided into 23 patrol areas and two policemen are deployed on a rotational basis 24 hours a day, in each area. Police officials sign patrol books that are kept in key areas including banks, ATM centers, residential areas and shopping malls.
