Patients deprived of proper food at Valparai Govt. Hospital

The 100-year-old Government Hospital at Valparai which has served locals for decades now lacks a proper chef and security guards. The respective officials have reportedly not taken proper action despite multiple petitions.


Coimbatore: The 100-year-old Government Hospital at Valparai which has served locals for decades now lacks a proper chef and security guards. The respective officials have reportedly not taken proper action despite multiple petitions.

The patients in the hospital are presently deprived of food due to non-availability of cooks and eat only if volunteers provide them with food. However, the delay in providing food has also inconvenienced doctors and healthcare workers at the hospital.

The public and social activists have demanded that the concerned departmental authorities take appropriate steps to recruit adequate staff without delay in the interest of everyone who needs to access the Valparai Government Hospital.
