Coimbatore: The spate of burglaries continues in Coimbatore, with a grocery store owner’s house looted in the city on Tuesday.
Coimbatore: The spate of burglaries continues in Coimbatore, with a grocery store owner’s house looted in the city on Tuesday. The police have registered a complaint and are investigating the matter.
Rajendran, a native of Neelambur, Gandhi Nagar in Coimbatore and his wife Krishna (39) run a grocery store in the same area. Returning from his mother’s place in Peelamedu on Tuesday, Rajendran and Krishna were shocked to find the front door of their house broken into and discovered that their cupboard too had been ransacked and 4 sovereign of gold jewellery had been stolen. They immediately informed the police and forensic experts were summoned to the crime scene and a case was registered.
Krishna lodged a complaint with the Sulur police who examined the CCTV cameras installed in the area. A search has been launched to nab the burglars.
