8 injured as auto overturns in Pollachi

Coimbatore: Seven passengers and an auto driver were grievously injured when the auto they were travelling in overturned in Pollachi.


Coimbatore: Seven passengers and an auto driver were grievously injured when the auto they were travelling in overturned in Pollachi.

Kannimuthu (35), Sampoorna (58), Saravanan (26), Uthama Raj (24), Archunan (47), Velumani (37) along with the driver Nagendran (20) were injured when their auto overturned on their way to a temple in Govindhapuram.

The auto driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle when he spotted a snake crossing the road near a poultry farm in Semanaampathy. All the eight people in the auto were injured since the auto overturned on the road. Passers-by admitted the injured at the nearby Government Hospital in Vetaikaran Pudhur. An FIR has been filed regarding the accident.
