The petition stated,

"1. Coimbatore to Karur expressway: We explained to the Minister that this Expressway is one of the long pending demands for the people and also it is a key infrastructure project which helps in the movement of goods to the seaport. Additionally this will help setting up of new industrial parks that will propel holistic growth of this region. We also pointed out that this important road network will connect the East and West Tamil Nadu which comes under National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

The Minister assured that needful will be done by 2024.

We have also requested the Minister to redesign the Avinashi Road Flyover by the panel of experts to extend the same on the East upto Chinniyampalayam since this will help to ease the traffic bottleneck.

4. Most importantly we requested the Minister to consider the execution of new electrical substations which were not taken by any one for the last 10 years.

5. Greater Coimbatore Development Authority: In view of increase in the population and business activities in Coimbatore, we explained to the Minister the need to have a regulated and sufficiently empowered Body for Coimbatore, similar to Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority - formation of Greater Coimbatore Development Authority.
