The separate budget for the agriculture sector is scheduled to be tabled in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly on August 14. The Chief Minister said it will focus on natural agriculture, revitalizing farmers' markets and setting up village markets. All these features are expected to boost farmer income and make the sector a more economically attractive proposition.

Isha has been promoting organic farming in Tamil Nadu for more than a decade. Launched under the guidance of the late agronomist Shri. Nammazhvar, Isha Agro Movement has so far imparted natural agriculture training to 10,000 farmers across Tamil Nadu.

The Velliangiri Uzhavan Farmers’ Producers Organisation promoted by Isha has been acclaimed as one of the best Farmer Producer Organizations in the country and has received accolades and awards from the Central and State Governments.
