The Chennai Central, Egmore, Madurai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode and Coimbatore railway stations under the Southern Railway administration are of' A1 'standard. In this, the process of getting the green certificate for the Coimbatore railway station has been in full swing since 2019.

Essential works to obtain this proof - rainwater harvesting system, solar power generation, LED lights on the sidewalks, sewage circulation center, heat-reflecting paint on the roofs, awareness paintings, drinking water facility, construction of 2,000 saplings in a 500 square meter area near the "A1" walkway and other facilities were actively carried out.
