There is a private coir factory owned by Sivakumar at Kattampatti near Kinathukadavu in Coimbatore district. A sudden fire broke out in this factory this morning due to an electrical leakage.
In this fire, the coconut fiber dried in the cell began to burn. After the Kinathukadavu fire department was informed, the fire brigade rushed to the spot and put out the fire. The fire destroyed several lakhs of rupees worth of coconut fiber.
