Kinathukadavu police received a tip-off that bottles of liquor were being sold at high prices without government permission near a public toilet on Railway Station Road near Kinathukadavu.
Following this, Kinathukadavu police sub-inspector Ganesamurthy went to the scene and monitored. At that time, the police arrested Sudhakar, 40, of Palanisamy Street, Malumichampatti, Coimbatore, who was selling liquor without the permission of the Tamil Nadu government, and confiscated 11 bottles of liquor and Rs. 5,200 from him. Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and are investigating.
