District Collector inspects Tirupur Farmers Market
Tirupur: The District Collector of Tirupur, Dr. S Vineeth who was present at the Coronavirus Awareness Program on behalf of the Corporation at the Tirupur Thennampalayam Uzhavar Sandhai and Daily Market, conducted a surprise inspection of the Uzhavar Sandhai after the event.
The Coronavirus Awareness Program was organized on Sunday on behalf of the Corporation at Thennampalayam Uzhavar Sandhai and Daily Market under Tirupur Corporation.
The Tirupur District Collector who was attending the event after attending the awareness program suddenly went to the Uzhavar Sandhai office unexpectedly and officials who did not anticipate his arrival were caught unawares.
He enquired about the procedures for allotment of shops in the Uzhavar Sandhai and also about the arrangements made for roadside vendors, the manner in which the allotment of shops are being carried out and whether the shops were allotted only to farmers.
