Coimbatore: An incident in which robbers broke into a Tamil Nadu state-owned Khadi Craft at midnight and stole sarees worth Rs 6 lakh has caused a stir in Coimbatore.

Under the Coimbatore Uppilipalayam Avinashi flyover, there is a government sale of what can be called state-owned Khadi Kraft. Today, the staff who work there came to work in the morning as usual and were shocked to see that the front door was broken.

Later, when they went inside, the area where the sarees were all in a mess. They immediately informed the Racecourse Police and the police rushed to the spot and are conducting a serious investigation. It was revealed that sarees worth Rs 6 lakh had been stolen. Police have registered a case and are investigating the theft. The store is behind the old court premises and people in the area say it is common for illegal activities such as drinking alcohol and using drugs at night to take place at night.

Therefore, the police are investigating if any anti-social people who frequently visit the area are involved in these thefts.
