Coimbatore CSI Pastor released on bail after the clash in a meeting

Coimbatore: The CSI Temple Diocesan Executive Committee meeting was held at Bishop Appasamy College in Coimbatore a few days ago.

Then there was a clash between two groups and both lodged complaints against each other. The arrested and imprisoned pastor was released on bail today. The CSI Diocesan Executive Committee Meeting at Coimbatore Race Course Road was held on the 19th at Bishop Appasamy College. Then there was a dispute between the two sides and a case was registered on a complaint filed by both the parties.

Church pastor Charles Samraj was out on anticipatory bail. The then newly appointed CSI Diocesan Chairman went to Prince Calvin's room to talk to him and later a complaint was lodged with the Coimbatore Racecourse Police alleging that the two had a dispute there and that Charles Samraj had taken the bank documents and quarreled with the ladies working in the office. Following this, the pastor Charles Samraj was arrested at midnight yesterday.

Attorney Paul Pandian had petitioned for bail for Charles Samraj in the case. The case came up for hearing in JM3 Court yesterday. Attorney Paul Pandian, who was appearing at the time, argued that the case was registered in sections unrelated to the complaint and that the police had deliberately arrested him. Following this, the judge ordered the release of Pastor Charles Samraj on bail. Following this, Pastor Charles Samraj, who was in Pollachi jail, was released today.
