Tamilnadu Backward Class Commission accuse CM for failing to protect social justice in Tamilnadu Backward Class Commission accuse CM for failing to protect social justice in recent Govt. directive on employment reservation favouring Vanniyars.

Coimbatore: The Coordinator of the Tamilnadu Backward Class Commission, Rathinasabapathy met the media in Coimbatore to address the directive of the Government of Tamil Nadu to provide employment to the Vanniyar community on the basis of 10.5 percent.

"The reservation for 253 non-Vanni communities in the list of backward classes would be affected by this directive. Without any statistics, the previous AIADMK Government had issued an urgent reservation in the wake of elections and said that it would be appropriate to announce the reservations only after a social analysis of the data. The present Government has already made various demands in this regard and issued an emergency order without any response. Thus other communities are being sidelined, with the AIADMK and DMK continuing to favour reservations for a particular community for the sake of the vote bank and elections," lamentedRathinasabapathy.

He blamed Chief Minister MK Stalin, who had declared that he would defend social justice before the election and for failing to defend it. In Tamil Nadu, Tamilnadu Backward Class Commission said it would visit every village in the district to explain to the youth about the damage caused by the government.
