Coimbatore: Welfare Minister M Subramaniam has ordered action against shops selling drugs such as gutka and tobacco that are banned in Tamil Nadu.
Following the Minister's order, the police raided grocery stores in Kinathukadavu.
It was then discovered that illicit drugs were being hidden and sold at a grocery store in Chikkalampalayam and Bharatnagar. Police confiscated the drugs that were kept for sale and registered a case against shop owners Vijayakumar and Arunkumar, and are investigating further.
