Tourist cab drivers petition District Collector seeking payment of arrears

Tourist cab drivers have filed a petition with the District Collector seeking payment of arrears pending from TN Assembly election contracts


Coimbatore: During the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, more than 350 tourist vehicles were operated on contract basis in all the taluks in Tirupur district. It has been three months since the election concluded and yet these cab drivers have not been paid their arrears yet. The Tourist Drivers and Owners Union petitioned the Collector at the District Collector's Office on Thursday, urging the District Collector to expedite payment of arrears to the respective taluk offices.
