Coimbatore: Joint Action Committee of the Central Trade Unions operating in the Coimbatore District will be protesting on July 23 at 10.00 am in front of Coimbatore Central Post Office near Coimbatore District Collectorate.
The protest is to urge the Central government to withdraw Essential Security Service Emergency Act against privatisation of Department of Defense, seeking repeal of Electricity Amendment Act, New Motor Vehicle laws and privatisation of railways, electricity, mines, nationalized banks, and insurance finance companies. The protest will take place following covid-19 norms. State and District leaders of Trade Unions will be participating in the protest.
