Theme park, swimming pool, I love Udumalai selfie spot, smart walkway, creation and renovation of new children's parks in Udumalai urban area inspected
Coimbatore: The Amravati Dam, which is very close to Udumalai, has Amravati Dam Park, the crocodile farm and the boat house.
In the Udumalai Hills, there is the Thirumoorthy Dam, the children's park adjacent to the Thirumoorthy Dam, the swimming pool, the Thirumoorthy Amanalingeswarar Temple and the Panchalinga Falls. Similarly, the Chinnaru area in Udumalai is home to a large number of bird sanctuaries.
The route from Udumalai to Thirumoorthy, Amravati and Chinnaru has many pleasant sceneries. Palani Murugan Temple, the Anaimalai Masaniyamman Temple, the Aliyar Dam Park, the Monkey Falls and the hilly tourist spots of Valparai and Kodaikanal are near Udumalai. The Udumalai region is therefore a popular hotspot for tourists.
Udumalai and its surroundings are visited by thousands of tourists every day. To make Udumalai an area that attracts tourists from other states and districts, to bring in more revenue from tourism and for the benefit of the people of Udumalai, the district tourism department and the Udumalai municipal department have conducted a study for this project under the chairmanship of District Tourism Officer Aravind Kumar.
Smart Udumalai project
It was decided to bring in several development projects under the Smart Udumalai project. Consultation and research work was carried out to implement the first phase of the projects such as theme park, swimming pool, I love Udumalai selfie spot, beautiful Udumalai, smart walkway for walking, creation and renovation of new children's parks in Udumalai urban area.
The study was attended by Udumalai Municipality Commissioner Krishnamurthy, Municipality Engineer Thangaraj and Udumalai Amazon School Director Matheen, Udumalai Tourism Development Committee and tourism activists Shanmugaraj, Jawahar and Prasanth.
