On the way to the Thiruvalluvar bus stand near the Gandhipuram signal, Coimbatore people disobeyed the rules of the road and got off the bus at the Town bus stand. As a result, there were frequent accidents on that road.
In this regard, various demands were made to stop the public from crossing barricades like this and hence todaya cement barricade was placed in the Gandhipuram signal to the back of the Town bus stand and black and white paint was applied on it. Therefore, people in the area cannot climb up and go over to the other side. They will have to respect the rules of the road and hence social activists have sighed with relief that accidents will decrease.
