Tirupur: Every year on the 17th of July, Martyrs' Day is observed in honor of the martyrs and at the request of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi.

Martyrs' Day was observed at the Tirupur District Vellakovil Municipality Office today. Minister of Information M.P. Saminathan and Adidravidar Welfare Minister Kayalvizhi were present at the event and paid homage to the martyrs.



The event was attended by Dharapuram Sub-Collector Ananthamohan, Vellakoil Municipality Commissioner Sasikala and many others including government officials.
