Coimbatore: 'Karmaveerar' Kamaraj's 119th birthday was celebrated on behalf of the Congress party in Valparai, Coimbatore district.
Earlier the statue of Kamaraj was adorned with electric lights. Valparai Congress leader Baby led by U Karuppaiya paid homage to the Kamaraj statue near Valparai Municipal Stadium by garlanding the statue. They continued to greet and chant in praise of Kamarajar.
The event was attended by a large number of members including Valparai Congress Party leader Baby, U Karuppaiya, Dr Paoulose, Michael Raj, Sivalingam lawyer Sivasubramaniam. Later sweets were distributed to the public
