A vaccination camp against Covid-19 was held for tribals in Valparai


Coimbatore: A vaccination camp to combat Covid-19 was held for tribals in Valparai. The Deputy Director of Health, Xavier, stated that the field staff had been raising awareness among the tribals about the need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 as a precautionary measure in the hilly areas ofPollachi in Anaimalai Tiger Reserve.



A special medical camp was organized on Thursday at the Highforest Hunting Prevention Camp under the Valparai Manampalli Wildlife Sanctuary to vaccinate the tribals. Tribals from Sankaran Gudi, Paraman Kadavu and Uduman Parai areas were also vaccinated against Covid-19. Ten forest field workers were vaccinated first to alleviate the fears of the tribals, after which about 80 tribals from the hilly regions were vaccinated.
