Chandra Group organizes free vaccination drive for employees

A free vaccination drive was organized by the Chandra Group for its employees

Coimbatore: In line with companies revamping their wellness policies to cater to the current pandemic situation and ensure the well-being of its employees, Chandra Group has kick-started an initiative of a vaccination drive free of cost for its employees.

Those above 18 years of age came forward to take the vaccine during the vaccination drive which was conducted in coordination with Ganga Hospital on June 30, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. A team of professionals including a doctor, nurses and an Administrative Officer were present.

During the vaccine drive, the first and second dose of Covishield vaccine was administered to approximately 450 employees, contract workers and family members. Employees registered their Aadhar and other details with the CoWIN app prior to the vaccination. They were then administered the vaccine and kept on observation for 30 minutes in the post-vaccination waiting area, after which they were allowed to return to their homes.

The Chandra Group had earlier rolled out an incentive of 'one day leave' for employees to encourage vaccination. It has also made oximeters available for its employees to use, in case they feel they are affected with Covid-19.
