Coimbatore: Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a painter near Sulur.
Ravi Prasad, a painter had rented the house of Venkatesh, a resident near Sulur police station in Coimbatore district, for the past two years. He had been staying at the house with friends for a few days. On July 5, when the owner of the house Venkatesh visited the house where Ravi Prasad and his friends were just earlier drinking in, he found Ravi Prasad murdered by his friends who had fled from the scene.
Based on a complaint lodged by Venkatesh at the nearby Sulur police station, Inspector Murugesan filed a case and arrested Krishnakumar, Muniandi and Surya, the three accused in the case and remanded them in judicial custody.
