Police in Coimbatore have arrested teenagers for selling drug injections among youths and college students. Investigations revealed that he had bought painkillers, mixed them with water and injected them into his body.

It was learned that a gang in Coimbatore was selling painkillers for Rs 300 to Rs 900 targeting youth and college students.

In Coimbatore Ukkadam, Kurichi, Kuniyamuthur and Podanur, where there were no people, crowds of youths were seen injecting drugs at night.

In this situation, a few days ago, a large number of youths gathered in the Ukkadam grassland area and injected drugs. This video footage spread fast on social websites.

A complaint was lodged with the police to take immediate action in this regard. Following this, on the orders of Coimbatore Municipal Police Commissioner Deepak Damore, 4 special forces were formed to nab the gang members. Private police were actively investigating.

In this case, a viral video in Coimbatore revealed that 7 youths were sitting and injecting drugs. Police arrested 4 of them and conducted an investigation.

The investigation revealed that Sakin (19), a resident of Coimbatore, Sadiq (21), a resident of Kuniyamuthur Siruvani Tank area, and Prasanth Kumar (21), an 18-year-old boy from Vrindavan. However, they are being kept in a secret place without being arrested by the police and are being investigated.

Police officials said, that they are investigating along the lines of “How did 4 drug addicts get painkillers? Who is in contact with them? How they got together in one place?” and who are their suppliers.

Six people have already been arrested in connection with drug use in the Coimbatore metropolitan area. The drug culture can only be eradicated if the mob involved is completely arrested. Action is being taken accordingly.
