Coimbatore: Congress workers staged a protest in Valparai on Thursday against the hike in petrol and diesel prices led by Prabhakaran.
The protest was held at Valparai old bus stand and the protesters were chanting slogans demanding reduction of prices of petrol, diesel, gas cylinder, and cancellation of excise tax! The protest was attended by a large number of party executives and volunteers. Valparai Police Inspector Maheshwari and other police officials were in charge of security at the protest site.
