Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner uploads pending resolutions from 11-11-2016 to 24-6-2019

Coimbatore: For the past five years, resolutions passed by the Coimbatore Corporation have been pending and not uploaded on the Corporation website.


Coimbatore: For the past five years, resolutions passed by the Coimbatore Corporation have been pending and not uploaded on the Corporation website.

No action has been taken on several complaints regarding this. But the newly-appointed Corporation Commissioner of Coimbatore, Raja Gopal Sunkara has been proactive since taking charge and initiated immediate action on these petitions and uploaded the resolutions till 2019 on the website.

A total of 1485 resolutions passed by the former Special Officers and Commissioners in the Coimbatore Corporation from 11-11-2016 to 24-6-2019 have been published for public viewing, following the appeal of SP Thiagarajan. Below are the details of 396 tenders cancelled in 5 zones as per item number 5 in five resolutions dated 30-6-2021:

Resolutions passed by the Special Officer / Ex-Commissioners from 19-7-2017 to 30-5-21 have not been uploaded on the Coimbatore Corporation website for the last 4 years. Last month (14-6-21) the new Commissioner uploaded 786 resolutions passed in 30 meetings from 19-7-17 to 24-6-19 which had not been uploaded for four years from 13-6-21 to yesterday.

Also, it is to be noted that out of the five resolutions passed by the Special Officer / Current Commissioner on 30-6-21, Rs. 98.19 crore worth tenders have been cancelled. The Corporation has taken steps to upload the resolutions of the above council meeting as on 30-6-21 within 24 hours of the meeting and the details of the cancellation of 5 resolutions and 396 tenders related to 5 zones will be uploaded on the Corporation's website within 24 hours.
