19-year-old youth committed suicide by hanging himself near Pollachi.
Coimbatore: Manikandan is from the Oothukkadu area of Jyoti Nagar near Pollachi. He has been working as daily wage labourer and his son Manoj (19) committed suicide by hanging himself at home after his parents went to work yesterday.
When the parents returned home from work, they were shocked to find Manoj hanging dead at home. East Police Station police upon information reached the spot and seized the body and took it to the Pollachi Government Hospital for autopsy. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the suicide of a youth who was alone at home.
