RDO launches inquiry as woman commits suicide by hanging in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: The RDO has ordered an inquiry into the suicide of a newly married woman within five years after her marriage.
Sabeer is a trader from Thudiyalur Nehru Road next to Coimbatore. His wife Shabana is 23 years old and they have a child. The day before yesterday evening, her father Mohammad Kaus came to Sabana's house. Those in the house at the time said Sabana was in the room. He went to his room and tried to open the door which was locked from the inside.
When he looked in the window he found his daughter hanging and started shouting. Neighbors immediately rushed her to a private hospital. Doctors who examined him said Sabana had died on the way to the hospital. Immediately, the Thudiyalur police have registered a case under Section 174 and are investigating. In this case, the RDO has ordered an inquiry as she has been married only for 5 years.
