Drone bombing at Air Force base: Special 3 tier security at Coimbatore airport.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore: A drone bomb was struck in front of an Indian Air Force base in Jammu. Hence security arrangements have been strengthened at all major airports in Tamil Nadu.
Drones were banned from flying at the Coimbatore airport and three layers of special security were put in place to monitor the situation day and night. Passengers are therefore sent after intense checks.
Following this, three layers of security have been put in place at the Coimbatore International Airport. All vehicles entering and leaving the airport are checked by a 'metal detector'. Police have set up barricades at the front of the airport. All passengers' belongings are subjected to intensive search. Security guards with guns patrol the entire airport complex. Drones are prohibited from flying within a radius of 3 km from the airport.
