Revenue settlement Jamabandi held at Tahsildhar office in Valparai


Coimbatore: Revenue settlement was held at Tahsildhar office in Valparai, Coimbatore District.

The petitions were received in a box kept in the office of the Revenue Officer and District Review Committee Officer Sami in the presence of Valparai Tahsildhar Rajan and Social Security Tahsildhar Muthu Kumar.



The petitions of the public were received in the box.

Marxist Communist Party leader Paramasivam said the tea plantation workers were staying and working in the estate management's apartment. They work in a tea garden in Valparai and live in a residential area provided by tea plantation companies. They have no home of their own in their hometown after completing their work contract and are going back to struggling to work in the tea garden again in old age. He petitioned the government to allocate houses for them and to provide land for the homeless.



Former DMK city council chairman Kozhikadai Ganesan petitioned to remove trees that are in a state of falling near the residences in Valparai Nadumalai Kanchamalai Karumalai, Urulikal, Valparai, MGR Nagar, Valparai Hospital area. Former DMK councillor Selvam has petitioned the government to quicken the issuance of pattas as it has not issued pattas to about 400 people in the Anna Nagar, Kamaraj Nagar and Sholayar Dam and in Rottikadai.



DMK city vice president Senthil said as lockdown was currently in place across Tamil Nadu and classes were being taken online as schools were not open. He said the Valparai area has only BSNL telecom service and with this service, children attending school without adequate network facilities are attending online classes near the forest and the farm area and near roads. They hence petitioned that the network facility should be made available to them. The petitions were made in the presence of Tahsildhar Rajan and Revenue Jamabandi Officer Duraisamy.
