Coimbatore: It has been announced that there will be no direct hearing in the courts in Coimbatore district till the 4th.
As the coronavirus infection gradually declines, in most districts, court hearings have been relaxed. The tribunal allowed 70 per cent of the cases to be taken up for direct hearing and 70 per cent of the staff were allowed to come to work. However, in Coimbatore district, where the cases are high when compared to other districts, the court hearing has been ordered to be discontinued till July 4. Permission is granted to issue an order on bail petitions filed online, and in the main case, at will, by video conferencing will be done for trial involving both parties.
Court employees have been ordered to file new cases in 'drop boxes' kept in the Coimbatore Combined Court Complex.
