98 students from 5 countries in 98 minutes drew a portrait of Kalaignar Karunanidhi on floor, setting a world record.
Tirupur: Schools across the country have been given a holiday due to the Coronavirus impact. Various programs are being conducted on behalf of the Kalam Yuvi Education Foundation to promote the talents of the school students.
As part of this, the students have created a world record by drawing a portrait of the former Chief Minister Kalaiganr Karunanidhi on the occasion of their 98th birthday.
To mark the 98th birthday of the former Chief Artist, 98 students from five countries, India, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, created the world record of the Indian Book of Records by drawing his portraits in 98 places, in 98 minutes.
The event was inaugurated by Kanchipuram MLA Ezhilarasan and Virugambakkam MLA Prabhakar Raja through a video conferencing. Six government school students from Tirupur district participated in this world record show and displayed their drawing skills.
Tirupur District Coordinator Teacher Kalpana said that the Education Foundation is organizing the painting competition to promote the talents of the school students. The students participated in this painting competition to celebrate Kalaignar's 98th birthday. She said this will motivate them to develop their skills and increase their self-confidence.
