7th International Yoga Day 2021 celebrated by yoga enthusiast near Thepakulam, Poo market, Coimbatore


Coimbatore: Patanjali Yoga Samiti Tamil Nadu media president and Patanjali Yoga teacher Kishore Jain and Patanjali Yoga Samiti, Coimbatore Treasurer and senior yoga teacher Narayan Lal taught the International Day of Yoga (IDY) protocol yoga and pranayama.



Karthik, Prabhu, Venkatesh, Vinod, Hitesh Shutar, Ramesh, Sohan Vishnoi all social activist with their yoga friends participated andthanked the Patanjali Yoga Samiti for providing the IDY protocol yoga session on the eve of international day of yoga. In his speech after the yoga session Kishore Jain gave in depth history of yoga and Indias role in spread of yoga worldwide ,198 countries practiced and celebrated IDY 7 th edition and all followed the same protocol designed by Indian yoga gurus. He said that during the coronavirus crisis yoga and pranayama helped in strengthening the overall lungs capacity, it is of great importance that this year the theme as announced today by PM Narendra Modi was wellness through yoga.

He said, "Our ancestors were so talented and they discovered the yoga practices from ancient times and developed it further scientifically and now the whole world is following and appreciating our yoga culture. Yoga doesn't belong to any religion it belongs to all and the whole world is one Vasudev Kutumbakam as our vedas say. Ancient tamil yogis like Tiruvalluvar, Agasthiar, 18 siddhars and other nayanmars and ancient tamil literature particularly the samanars who highlighted and contributed to upliftment of yoga and its benefits.



The whole world has recognized Indian yoga practices and the United Nations has granted June 21 as the International day of Yoga. This day is celebrated because in the whole year on June 21 is the longest day. Live life to its full potential through yoga and pranayama."
