MP PR Natarajan welcomes request of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to PM to build AIIMS hospital in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan thanked the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin for his insistence on setting up an AIIMS hospital in Coimbatore.

According to a statement issued by him,

"Coimbatore district is the center of the western region. Coimbatore district is also a medical center. Apart from Coimbatore, thousands of people from Tirupur, Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Namakkal and Dharmapuri districts visit here daily for medical treatment. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who called on the Prime Minister Modi, has given him a list of important demands for Tamil Nadu. The insistence that an AIIMS hospital be set up in the Coimbatore district is also one of the important inclusions. The second wave of coronavirus infection was the most severe. More than 30,000 people are affected by this disease in Tamil Nadu every day."

He said, "The districts, including Coimbatore, were the worst hit. Within a month of coming to power the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin, has taken several actions to bring the infection under control. The main reason for this is the development of the medical framework. The Government of Tamil Nadu is also initiating a medical framework taking into account the warnings of the medical professionals that a third wave will affect children.

The DMK's election manifesto for the Assembly elections said that strengthening education, health and the economy was something that had caught everyone's attention including political opponents. Thus, it is gratifying that the DMK has embarked on the implementation of this as soon as it comes to power."

He added, "CM insisting the Prime Minister on setting up an AIIMS hospital in Coimbatore is a welcome move. On behalf of the people of Coimbatore district, I would like to thank the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Construction of AIIMS Hospital in Madurai should begin immediately. We request the central government to consider the request of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu to set up an AIIMS Hospital in Coimbatore and to approve it immediately. I would like to inform the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, that I will continue to raise my voice in Parliament and the Legislative Assembly to further strengthen this demand."
