Coimbatore: 3 people were injured when a billboard of a hotel crashed. All three were receiving treatment for their injuries. One of them died today as treatment failed.
Work was underway to set up a TN43 hotel near the Kanuvaipalayam section near Karamadai, Coimbatore. Roadside vendors had set up vegetable stalls next to the shop. At that time, three traders including Selvaraj, Kunja and Ponnammal from Kanuvaipalaiyam, who had set up shop near the shop's billboard, were injured.
Police rushed to the spot receiving the information and rescued the three and sent them to the Mettupalayam Government Hospital. Selvaraj was rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital in a life-threatening condition. Today the merchant Selvaraj died tragically as treatment failed.
