25 crore fraud: Bishop's bail petition denied in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: It was accused that Pastor Jerome Jacob had allegedly embezzled Rs. 25 crores from the provident fund, which has been withheld from the salaries of priests and staff working in CSI-controlled churches.

Bishop Timothy Ravinder, 62, counselor David Mangal Das, 67, Selvakumar, 50, and former secretary Charles Samraj, 43, are being investigated by the City Police in connection with this. At the District Sessions Court, all four petitioned, seeking anticipatory bail. The judge hearing the case adjourned the hearing on the bail petition to July 9. Until then, he ordered police not to arrest all four.
