Police conduct sudden raid at RS Puram resident's house in connection with idol smuggling in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: The residence of Arun Prasad (29) of Lingappa Chetty Street, R S Puram, Coimbatore who owns a business and is known for helping street dogs was raided after police received a tip off that Arun Prasad was hiding idols in his house.
The police inspected his house and only found a bronze statue that Arun clarified was ordered and purchased online. The police confirmed that there was no violation in the purchase of the statue and left without registering any case. The raid caused a stir in the area for a while.
