Firefighters rescue calf that fell into a well in Thayanur near Mettupalayam after 2 hours struggle


Coimbatore: Firefighters rescued a calf that had fallen into a well in Thayanur near Mettupalayam after 2 hours struggle.

Karaiyya is from the Thayanur area of the Kalampalayam panchayat near Mettupalayam. He has been raising livestock on his farm. A one-and-a-half-year-old male calf that was grazing in the garden on Sunday fell into a nearby well. Then Karaiyya who came there hearing the calf's cries was shocked and immediately informed the Mettupalayam fire department.

Firefighters led by fire station officer Balasundaram then arrived at the scene and recovered the calf from the well after struggling for about 2 hours. This caused a stir in the region.
