Dr Sameeran IAS to take over as Coimbatore District Collector
Coimbatore: Sameeran IAS, an officer belonging to the 2012 batch of Indian Administrative Service, has an MBBS degree from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram and Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Environment Management and Law from National Law University, Delhi.
He has worked as Sub Collector, Paramakudi, Additional Collector (Revenue), Ramanathapuram, Palk Bay Project Director (Additional Director, Fisheries), Director of Fisheries and Managing Director of TNFDC.
He has wide experience in Land Administration, Disaster Management, Project Management, e-Governance, P.S.U management and Development sector. Public Health, Rural Livelihood, Participatory Governance and Cultural Tourism are his areas of interest as an administrator. He has also published books.
