Two persons, including uncle of the girl who was raped, were arrested in Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Police have arrested two people, including the uncle of a 14-year-old girl who was near Coimbatore. A 14 year old girl has been living in Nellithurai area in Coimbatore district. The girl has been working at a house in the area. Murugesan, the uncle of the girl who often gets drunk sexually harassed the girl. Following this, a teenager named Sampath, who was a tile- laying labourer at the girl's place of work, cheated and raped the girl.
The girl is two months pregnant and the girl's parents lodged a complaint at the All Women Police Station, Thudiyalur. According to the complaint, the police, who have filed a case under the POCSO Act, have arrested and are investigating both her uncle Murugesan and Sampath who raped the girl.
