5 arrested for selling ganja in Anaimalai, 1250 grams of ganja and two wheelers seized
Coimbatore: Police received a tip-off that ganja was being sold near Anaimalai. Following this, the police led by Anaimalai Police Assistant Inspector Karuppasamy Pandian conducted a vehicle inspection in the Anaimalai LRT area. During the investigation, it was revealed that the two-wheelers were identified as Babu alias Chandu Mohammad, Gokulakrishnan from Anaimalai area and Prabhakaran, Saravanakumar and Prakash from Kovilpalayam.
As they answered in a contradictory manner, police inspected the two-wheeler and found 1250 grams of ganja. Police arrested the five and seized ganja, Rs 5,500 cash, mobile phones and a two-wheeler. They were then charged and imprisoned.
