3 arrested for a dispute over cards game in which one was stabbed
Coimbatore: One person was stabbed while playing cards with a group of friends in Ukkadam, Coimbatore.
Three men including Balaji (32) from Kempatti Colony in Ukkadam were playing cards in front of Balaji's house on Tuesday. Balaji bet his cell phone during the course of the game and since he lost the game, his friends took away his phone. When Balaji asked his friends to give his cell phone back, they refused which later turned into a heated argument. Balaji was attacked by his friends and stabbed in the head with a knife that was concealed by one of his friends. Balaji was then rushed to the Coimbatore Government Hospital. Prakash (32), son of Selvaraj and his father Selvaraj (55) and his brother Durairaj (42) from Kempatti Colony have been arrested based on a complaint lodged by Balaji.
