Government orders to issue second installment of Rs. 2000 and grocery kit from June 15th
Coimbatore: When MK Stalin took over as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, he had signed that Rs. 4000 would be provided as a coronavirus relief fund.
The first installment of Rs. 2000 has been given to the family card holders. The Chief Minister also announced that a box containing 14 groceries would be provided free of cost to all families in ration shops on the occasion of Karunanidhi's birthday. Following this, the government has announced that the second installment of the coronavirus relief amount of Rs. 2000 will be available at the ration shops in all districts from the 15th.
From today in ration shops, distribution of essential items including regular rice to cardholders starts. From the 15th, 2,000 rupees in relief and groceries will be provided. Chief Minister Stalin announced that rice ration card holders would be given Rs.2000 and a grocery package containing 14 items is to be provided. Chief Minister Stalin yesterday launched a scheme to provide them to the beneficiaries.

The grocery package and the second installment of Rs 2,000 for the coronavirus relief are scheduled to be distributed from the second week.
An official of the Co-operative and Food Department said: “Ration shops will provide regular essential items, extra rice, groceries, Rs 2,000 relief from the central government at the same time. People will crowd and employees will also be overworked. 'Tokens' will be issued to cardholders' homes for the first four days of the 1st of this month. Therefore, essential commodities and additional rice from the Central Government will be provided from the 5th to the 14th. From the 15th, the second installment of relief money and groceries are to be provided."
