Unauthorized companies operating during lockdown is the reason for increase in coronavirus infection in Coimbatore; 50 car ambulances to be launched in Coimbatore - State Health Minister Ma Subramanian

Coimbatore: Health Minister Ma Subramanian said that the reason for the increase in the corona epidemic in Coimbatore district was the operation of unlicensed industries.

Coimbatore: Tamilnadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has said that the reason for the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in Coimbatore district is due to the operation of unlicensed industries.

Health Minister Ma Subramanian, who was present at the review meeting on corona epidemic measures held at the Coimbatore District Collectorate, later spoke to reporters. Speaking at the time, he said, "The incidence of corona infection in Tamil Nadu has been declining for the past one week. But coronavirus infection has been on the rise in Coimbatore district for the past two days. The incidence of infection in Coimbatore today is 800 less than yesterday.

The reason for the increase in the Corona impact in Coimbatore is the continued operation of industries, including unlicensed automobiles. Businesses will be closely monitored from tomorrowand businesses operating without a permit will be shut down” he warned. The government has planned to implement a car and ambulance project in Coimbatore as in Chennai. In the first phase, 50 car ambulances are to be called to Coimbatore. Police have been instructed to intensify curfew from tomorrow.

As construction work is underway in Coimbatore, it has been advised to suspend construction work for 10 days as there is a risk of infection to the people working there. With all the vaccines in stock being distributed to the public without wastage, the central government has set aside only a small number of vaccines for the more populous state of Tamil Nadu” accused Minister Subramanian.

Responding to allegations that private hospitals are fleecing patients during this coronavirus pandemic, he said that “hospitals should act as per the conscience and be reasonable with patients at this time as this is not the time to build your bank balance” he pleaded.
