Jamaat-e-Islami Hind members celebrate Eid-ul-fitr by distributing groceries to the public of Coimbatore

On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, a Ramdan kit containing groceries for a month was given to more than 1,400 families of poor people in Coimbatore.


Coimbatore: Members of the Muslim community fasted for the last one month by praying diligently. Today they celebrated the Eid-ul-fitr thanking Allah for the strength and endurance given during the fasting month.

Abdul Hakeem, Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind said that, " Muslims this year offered their prayers with close family members at their homes as all mosques are closed owing to Covid-19. They together prayed to Allah for the present and future. They also said that they prayed for protection from Covid-19 and world peace.



On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, a Ramdan kit containing groceries for a month was given to more than 1,400 families of poor people in Coimbatore.



Earlier before the Ramzan Prayer, Fitar Jakad was offered and food items including 7500 kg of Biriyani rice was distributed to more than 3750 families. Around 3000 kg of vegetables were distributed along with the groceries.

Muslims community members made this contribution so that no family goes hungry during Ramadan, celebrating this festival happily.Public from many parts of Coimbatore also received sweets and food as a part of Ramzan celebrations.

Because of Covid-19, this year Biriyani was not offered to friends from other communities. Inshah Allah in the upcoming days we have planned to distribute Biriyani and sweets to everyone."He said
